DIGITAL POTENTIAL AS AN INDICATOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGION (BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE SARATOV REGION)

The article monitors digital potential as an indicator of economic development of the region. As objects of monitoring, the author selected various indicators of the development of digital potential using the example of the Saratov region: the level of digital government, investment in digital development, development of digital potential in the regional economy, digital maturity of the population. The main basis for monitoring carried out by the author was the state program of the Saratov region “Information Society”. The author analyzed the level of digital public administration and access to digital technologies of the subject, highlighted problematic issues and ways to improve them. To assess the economic efficiency of digital capital in various sectors of the economy, the author calculated the discount rate for investments in the future region, which affects the total volume of the gross regional product of the Saratov region.
