With the advent of the information age, companies found themselves facing demanding challenges arising from requests from the market: more information, improved quality of product offerings, increased production and profits, market leadership and customer focus. This is especially true for markets for high-tech products. In this article, the authors examined segmentation and positioning in high-tech markets, the concept and classification of the market for high-tech products, as well as indicators characterizing the marketing of high-tech products and services in the consumer market.
