The agro-industrial complex is considered as the largest intersectoral complex uniting various branches of agriculture, playing a key role in the global economy. To achieve the purpose of the study, an analysis of world exports of products of the agro-industrial complex of Russia was carried out. It is established that global challenges and threats of an economic and political nature create difficulties with the supply of agricultural products to the world market, and on the other hand, they act as a trigger for the formation of innovative solutions in the context of sustainable development of agriculture. The sanctions pressure affected the destabilization of Russian grain export flows, including to countries dependent on agricultural imports, the country managed to adapt to the prevailing conditions and fulfill all contracts for the supply of grain to foreign partners, contributing to the dynamics of international trade in Russian agricultural products. The main trends in the development of the agro-industrial complex of the country and the increase in its export potential, which are associated with sustainable development, are identified: organic agriculture, food technology, precision agriculture. It is concluded that Russia has a solid foundation and opportunities to increase the volume of supplies of agricultural products to the world market.
