CRIMINOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN RUSSIA AND WAYS TO LEVEL THEM

Paragraph 30 of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation «On the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation» pays special attention to the support of the family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood, disabled and elderly citizens, as well as the upbringing of children. The family, being a unit of society, is designed to form an internal environment where a person can receive comprehensive development, stability and security. At the moment, statistics on crimes committed on family and household grounds remain high, which threatens both hotel individuals and the entire institution of the family. This article reveals the essence of domestic violence and its types. Analyzing the statistics on this issue, the author focuses on the fact that the problem of domestic violence has a high degree of relevance and requires attention from the state. Goal. The author sees the goal in the form of identifying criminological determinants that contribute to the emergence and spread of the phenomenon of domestic violence, and also pays attention to finding ways to reduce the number of crimes in this area. Methodology. The research uses methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, and prediction. Results. Some provisions of the Draft Federal Law No. 1183390-6 «On the prevention of domestic violence in the Russian Federation» are evaluated. The factors that determine the existence of domestic violence in Russia are identified and disclosed. The author proposes a system of measures aimed at eradicating crimes committed in families.
