The purpose of the article is to analyze various approaches to representation, based on the scientific works of legal scholars. The legal regulation of the institution of representation is debatable. Representation has wide application in various spheres of life, including business, state and municipal service, family, civil relations and other areas. It is the legal framework that is an important tool for ensuring the rights and interests of legal entities and individuals, determines the procedure and conditions for the implementation of representation, and also ensures its legal protection. Moreover, such legal foundations have their roots in the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which is the fundamental law of the country, as well as in the applicable civil legislation.
