THE ROLE OF THE PRICE FACTOR IN THE REGULATION OF THE FOOD MARKET

The article analyzes the approaches of various researchers on the importance of the price factor in regulating the food market. The interaction between the level of economic development of the country and the share of food products in the consumer market is considered. The article shows the share of food products in the retail trade of Azerbaijan and the price index, which fluctuates greatly. Price indicators were analyzed based on import-export indicators of fresh vegetables and fruits, canned fruits and vegetables and juices. Based on import and export prices, the balance of foreign trade per 1 ton of products was calculated. The dynamics of foreign trade indicators for individual goods by year is analyzed. The influence of the price factor on the import and export of food products is revealed.
