The article examines key aspects of the formation and significance of judicial representation in the Russian Empire in the 19th century. The influence of bureaucracy and changes in the system of estate self-government after the restoration of noble and rural elections under Alexander I is highlighted. The impact of the abolition of provincial estate courts and their replacement by representatives from rural estates is analyzed. The role of religious and social factors in the distribution of access to judicial and administrative positions. The importance of electivity and estate representation in delegating social-administrative responsibilities to judges is emphasized.
