The article discusses methods of motivating the work of personnel in modern companies. The term "motivation system" is defined and the tasks solved with the help of motivation system are given. Examples of tangible and intangible rewards are presented as an important component of the motivation system. Modern methods of motivation and tools for improving personnel engagement are described, and the main categories of modern motivations are indicated. Recommendations are given on the use of motivation system in Russian companies taking into account the features of the modern Russian labor market. Special attention is paid to the use of the long-term incentive program, its advantages in comparison with traditional motivation programs are analyzed. Examples and approaches of successful personnel incentives in large international companies are presented.
