The article focuses on the dynamics of the development of labor potential and its inextricable connection with labor activity. It also considers the approach to the development of labor activity through increasing labor potential. The article also considers the motivation of labor activity in modern economic conditions. Much attention is paid to the motivation of labor activity, the theory of motivation, and the main models of motivation. The problems of labor motivation associated with the transition of our country to a modern economy are also considered.
