The purpose of the research article is to analyze changes in the tariff structure during the transition to distributed generation technologies by energy consumers.
The article discusses tariff structures on the wholesale and retail electricity markets, tariff structures for distributed generation, including those with renewable energy source. A comparison of the tariff structure for traditional energy generation and tariffs for distributed energy generation is provided.
When constructing own electricity sources, the cost of tariffs is reduced by the cost of electricity transmission due to the proximity of distributed generation technologies to energy consumers.
In the structure of electricity tariffs for distributed generation, there are no infrastructure costs or sales surcharges.
The use of decentralizes generation makes it possible to increase energy efficiency and energy saving, and accordingly increase the profitability of industrial electricity consumers.
The payback of projects with distributed generation is much faster then projects with centralizes electricity generation.
Distributed generation using renewable energy sources will reduce the harmful impact on the environment and preserve non-renewable energy sources.
The transition to decentralized energy generation reduces the load on the traditional electricity network and diversifies the unified energy system of Russia.
Keywords:wholesale electricity market, retail electricity market, tariff, distributed generation.
