The article explores the relationship between implementing the smart city concept and achieving key sustainable development goals (SDGs). In the face of rapid urbanization and the growing need for efficient resource management, smart technologies have become essential for promoting sustainable environmental, economic, and social development in cities. Special emphasis is placed on the role of smart energy, which involves renewable energy sources, smart grids, and digital technologies to optimize energy use. These solutions enhance urban infrastructure's energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and improve quality of life. The article also examines various smart city assessment systems and their contribution to achieving SDGs, such as affordable clean energy, economic growth, climate action, and sustainable urban development.
