This article aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the problem of patient rights violations in the context of medical care, with a focus on ethical aspects, historical dynamics, and legislative gaps. Within the framework of the modern legal system, based on humanistic principles, a person is positioned as an independent subject of social relations. The problem of legal regulation of relations arising in the sphere of protecting human life and health is of particular relevance. The participants in these relations are medical professionals of various profiles and patients. A characteristic feature of legal relations in the field of healthcare is their high degree of complexity and diversity, due, on the one hand, to the individual characteristics of each patient, and on the other, to the variety of medical interventions. The variability of legal situations in this area is due both to the uniqueness of the patient's personality and to the specifics of medical activity.
