The credit institutions of the Russian Federation have developed a stable practice of building a risk management system. The article analyzes the practical implementation of the risk management system, its main components, as well as the legal foundations of this system. Regulatory requirements and regulatory documents play an important role in the formation of a risk management system in Russian commercial banks. In the Russian Federation, international agreements have had a significant impact on the national regulatory framework.
