The article examines the most promising forms of agribusiness – small and medium–sized enterprises, it is noted that in modern conditions the number of small and medium-sized forms of agribusiness is expanding - the main producers of high-quality agricultural products. Small and medium-sized agribusiness is an organic part of the country's agriculture, it is one of the most stable sectors of the Russian economy, which is an important factor in the strength of the state. It is emphasized that small and medium-sized businesses are inferior in profitability to large agribusiness-agricultural holdings, but in terms of rural employment per hectare of land used, they are more efficient and receptive to new trends.
