ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF ECONOMIC INSTABILITY ON THE MANAGEMENT OF OILFIELD SERVICE ASSETS: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADAPTATION

In the context of global economic instability caused by fluctuations in oil prices, crises and sanctions, oilfield service companies face serious challenges in their activities. The relevance of this study lies in the need to analyze the consequences of these factors for oilfield service assets, which play a key role in the energy and economic security of many countries. The main objective of the work is to study the impact of economic instability on oilfield service assets, as well as to identify the main factors influencing the dynamics of investment, employment levels and innovation processes in this industry. The research methodology includes econometric analysis using regression models, which allows us to assess the relationship between external economic shocks and changes in the oilfield service sector. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the structure of regional economies dependent on oilfield service activities, as well as to the study of the impact of sanctions and trade restrictions on companies in this sector. The results of the study show that oil price fluctuations and economic crises significantly reduce investment in oilfield service assets, which in turn leads to job losses and slower implementation of innovative technologies. In addition, sanctions and international trade restrictions exacerbate these problems by limiting access to necessary resources and technologies. Thus, this study highlights the importance of developing adaptive strategies for oilfield service companies that will help minimize the negative effects of external shocks and maintain competitiveness in an unstable economy.
