the article discusses basic leadership practices and skills. Using the example of the modern Russian education system, the author examines various measures that are used to stimulate the leadership qualities of future leaders of educational organizations. Particular attention is paid to the development of personal skills, interpersonal skills, and group skills. The author introduces the concept of pedagogical business communication, paying special attention to the main types of communication in a typical educational organization. The important role of the practice of ethical communication in the formation of leadership potential among future leaders of educational organizations is noted. An important point in the formation of leadership potential, according to the author, is the style of operational leadership, focused on the teacher, characterized by greater involvement in the decision-making process. But this becomes possible only when educational leaders, in addition to or above their managerial positions, strive to satisfy as many specific preferences as possible and guide teachers.
