Currently, the competitiveness of commercial banks and their demand in the market is manifested in the variety of services they provide. This article provides arguments in favor of the importance of defining such a concept as “the effectiveness of a banking product.” The essence of assessing the quality and efficiency of using a banking product is revealed. The methodological approach proposed in the work by the authors allows us to analyze and obtain a holistic understanding of the product offered by a commercial bank. Another important result of the performance assessment is the formation of recommendations on the possibility of further use and development of the product by a commercial bank.
