THE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES BY THE COURT IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS

The article explores the purpose and objectives of digitalization of criminal justice. The author comes to the conclusion that the main purpose of the introduction and application of digital technologies by the court in criminal proceedings is not only the digitalization of the criminal proceedings themselves, as well as certain aspects of its activities, but above all, ensuring transparency in the administration of justice in criminal cases, its openness. This will contribute to improving guarantees of proper protection of the rights and legitimate interests of interested citizens, as well as improving the image of the judicial system. The author also highlights the tasks of using digital technologies by the court in criminal proceedings.
