The article studies the features of state policy and its impact on business innovation activity under sanctions pressure. It identifies factors and conditions influencing the formation of an innovative climate and the trends of technological development in the real sector of the economy. Relevance. Investments play a crucial role in boosting economic progress, serving as a key element in stimulating growth and attracting innovations across many sectors. They not only contribute to strengthening and diversifying the economy but also make a significant contribution to its sustainable development. Under sanctions, state policy acquires particular importance as a source of stabilization, support, and further technological development. It underpins the creation of mechanisms that promote the generation and implementation of new solutions, products, and production approaches.
One should not underestimate the role of the state as initiator and coordinator of modernization processes. Through targeted programs, support measures, and the infrastructure of development institutions, the state forms incentives and creates prerequisites for innovation activity in the business environment. Nevertheless, it is necessary to recognize that precisely under external constraints, innovations acquire a qualitatively new meaning: not as an optional initiative, but as a pressing necessity for the survival and adaptation of enterprises to new conditions. The aim of the study is to identify the main aspects of the influence of state policy on the development of business innovation activity under sanctions pressure. The methodology is based on analysis of scientific and practical positions, synthesis of opinions, generalization of data, selection of statistical information, and application of general and particular methods of cognition. As a result of the study, an overview of the current state of state policy in the field of supporting innovations in business has been produced, the main challenges that enterprises face when implementing innovations under sanctions pressure have been identified. Author's conclusions and proposals have been formulated, aimed at strengthening the role of the state in stimulating innovative development. The obtained results can be used in the future to form more effective mechanisms of state support and to adapt business to new external and internal conditions.
