IMPACT OF ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL SANCTIONS ON ECONOMIC GROWTH

This article analyses the impact of economic and political sanctions on economic growth, with a particular focus on Russia and Iran. The study examines the essential nature of economic and political sanctions and their distinctive features. Particular emphasis is placed on the effectiveness of sanctions at specific points in history. The influence of economic sanctions on the welfare of the state is also examined through the prism of fundamental concepts and paradigms of economic theory. Using the example of sanctions against Russia and the policy of containment towards Iran, the effects of stimulating trade and investment activity as a result of the introduction of restrictive measures are described.
