The purpose of this study is to identify the problems and determinants of teamwork effectiveness in the IT field and to develop a holistic approach to the formation and development of project teams that are resilient to the challenges of a dynamic environment. As a practical result of this research, the author's development is proposed – the "IT Team Viability Cycle", which is an iterative algorithm for the continuous development of a project team consisting of eight interrelated phases. The model is presented as a continuous spiral of development, emphasizing the iterative and progressive movement of the team towards higher levels of maturity and efficiency. The scientific and practical novelty of the development consists in the following aspects. The allocation of a separate phase for the purposeful formation of an emphasis on psychological safety underlines its critical importance as a basis for innovation and effective collaboration. Phase 8 formalizes the organizational learning process at the team level, turning a one-time success into a sustainable competitive advantage for the company. The presented cycle is adaptive, which indicates the flexibility of the model. For stable teams, it is possible to switch from phase 8 to phase 4, bypassing re-profiling. For new projects from scratch, complete passage of all phases. This development provides IT project managers with a structured roadmap for building not only productive, but also sustainable, self-developing teams capable of thriving in the face of constant change.
