PROSPECTS FOR THE INTRODUCTION OF BLOCKCHAIN IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the prospects and barriers to the integration of blockchain technology into the corporate governance system. The relevance of the research is due to the growing need for businesses to increase transparency, accountability and management efficiency against the background of the digital transformation of the global economy. The purpose of the work is to study the main trends, problems and prospects of implementing blockchain solutions in corporate governance in Russia. The potential of blockchain for corporate governance is realized in several directions: increasing transparency and traceability of supply chains, automating corporate actions and compliance procedures through smart contracts, as well as creating new models of capital raising and asset management through their tokenization. The main barriers to the introduction of blockchain technology are not so much technological as organizational and managerial in nature. The most significant obstacles are the imperfection of the regulatory framework in the field of smart contract management, evolving cybersecurity threats, the problem of operational compatibility of various blockchain systems and the high costs of integration with the existing IT infrastructure. The article suggests ways to solve the identified problems related to the improvement of the regulatory framework, the development of technological infrastructure, staffing and popularization. The implementation of these measures will create favorable conditions for the gradual introduction of blockchain technologies, which will increase transparency and efficiency of corporate governance in Russia, as well as enhance the competitiveness of Russian companies on the global stage.
