APPROACHES TO SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF TEXTILE PRODUCT DISPOSAL USING THE EXAMPLE OF UPCYCLING TECHNOLOGY

The modern economy is developing in the face of new challenges. A significant group of challenges is made up of environmental challenges, which have been formed, among other things, as a result of overproduction. In the fashion industry, the factor of overproduction initiates the search for new design technologies for the recycling and modernization of “extra” things. Upcycling has become a fairly effective technology. Upcycling technology makes the recycling process economically feasible. The article discusses an example of creating an author's collection of youth tunic dresses made from jeans with sufficient physical wear. The prospects of including the method in the educational program of professional training of specialists in the field of costume design are determined.
