The relevance of this study stems from the need to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of research activities in the face of increasing project complexity, resource constraints, and reporting requirements. The aim of this study is to develop an adapted research project management model that integrates the strengths of classical and agile methodologies. To achieve this goal, theoretical methods of systems and comparative analysis were used. The study systematized key characteristics of research projects, such as high uncertainty and iterative nature, and proposed a hybrid structural-process management model. The model is divided into a "hard" framework (budget, deadline, and contract management) and a "flexible" framework (management of scientific hypotheses and experiments). The scientific novelty lies in the formalization of an approach to research project management that reduces the contradiction between administrative requirements and the heuristic nature of scientific inquiry.
Keywords:project management, research project, research activities, management methodology, hybrid model, research planning, research group management.
