The analysis of modern literature devoted to the study of the problem of the treatment of uterine fibroids in women of reproductive age was carried out. A high prevalence of the disease has been identified, including among young women. The problem of treating patients with uterine myoma, who want to maintain fertility, was identified. The problem of insolvency of the scar and rupture of the uterus after myomectomy was emphasized. The role of excessive coagulation in the implementation of this complication when using an electrosurgical instrument was shown. Data were presented on the prospects of using an ultrasonic scalpel in myomectomy.
