Some aspects of the diagnostics of sepsis review literature

This review of the literature discusses some aspects of the clinical diagnosis of sepsis and septic shock (using the SOFA methodology), elements of the diagnosis of this disease, with an emphasis on the biomarkers of sepsis. Anti-inflammatory biomarkers, such as C-reactive protein, pro-calcitonin, are considered; biomarkers of the immunosuppressive phase of sepsis; biomarker organ dysfunction in sepsis. Adrenome-Dulin, preseptin and other sepsis biomarkers are also considered.
