Zhubanova Azhar   (D.Sc., Professor, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University)

Two cultures of microorganisms producing biosurfactants with targeted metabolic activity, i.e. the ability to biosolubilize brown coal were selected. They were identified as Bacillus sp. RKB 2 and Providencia sp. RKB 10. It has been shown that cultures in the process of biosolubilization actively generate on media with a high content of brown coal, and the adaptation phase of growth for these microorganisms did not exceed 24 hrs. The maximum biomass growth was observed when the concentration of brown coal in the medium was 5%.

Keywords:Brown coal, bacteria, biosolubilization
