The mutual impact of tumor suppressors P53 and ARF on the autophagy in the cell that is regulated by these suppressors

Anaschenkova Tatiana   (PhD, associate Professor, Smolensk state medical University)

The article presents data on the mutual impact of tumor suppressors p53 and p14ARF on non-selective autophagy. Experiments on H1299 lung carcinoma cells and mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) have shown that activation of nonselective autophagy by p14ARF tumor suppressor does not depend on p53 expression in the cell. The silencing of tumour suppressor p53 activates autophagy due to the induction of ARF.

Keywords:autophagy, tumor suppressor, p53ARF, p14ARF
