The article discusses the relationship between the state of oral health and the development of cardiovascular disease. Also, the effect of chronic generalized periodontitis on the course of coronary heart disease and its complications, the severity of periodontal inflammation, which is an indirect diagnostic marker of the unfavorable and complicated course of coronary heart disease.
