Features of pharmacotherapy of patients with CHF with concomitant type 2 diabetes

Chronic heart failure and diabetes mellitus acquire the status of an epidemic of the 21st century and require healthcare costs to prevent and treat these diseases. The use of modern pharmacological preparations and instrumental methods of treating cardiovascular diseases increases the life expectancy and significantly improves the quality of life of patients with heart failure with both normal carbohydrate metabolism and type 2 diabetes. Therapy in this category of patients should be characterized by an integrated approach, including careful glycemic control, as well as an effective blockade of neurohumoral shifts.
