Diagnosis and treatment results of traumatic brain injury

The results of traumatic brain injury (TBI) treatment occupy an important place in the neurotrauma epidemiology. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnosis and treatment results of traumatic brain injury in patients of different age groups. We conducted a retrospective analysis of 9670 medical records of patients (Republic of Yemen) from 2009 to 2018. We had established that computed tomography was performed in 33.8% of cases, 92.9% of patients were treated with conservative methods, and a fatal outcome was found in 5.8% of cases. The important tasks of the neurosurgical assessment of our region are medical care prehospital stage optimization and implementation of modern diagnostic methods, neuromonitoring, surgical technologies.
