Urolithiasis is a common disease both in adults and children. This article discusses the epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of uric acid stones formation. Radionegative urates are the most complicated in diagnostics. For this reason it is important to to develop an algorythm for urolithiasis diagnostics with both pediatric urologists and radiologists being involved. Further scientific research is needed in order to estimate the effectiveness of different therapy in patients with uric acid urolithiasis.
