Organization of laboratory forecasting of surgery outcome in glaucoma in older age patients

The main option for surgical treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma remains synustrabeculectomy. However, operations are often accompanied by various complications, among which excessive scarring is most common. A study has been conducted to identify clinical and laboratory features in elderly and senile patients with a successful and unsuccessful outcome of glaucoma surgery. Reliable differences in platelet indices, coagulograms and blood glucose levels have been identified.
