The analysis of the relationship between allelic variants of serotonergic system genes involved in biosynthesis (TPH1, TPH2), transport (SLC6A4), receptions (HTR1A, HTR1B, HTR2A, HTR2C, HTR3A) and degradation (MAO-A) of serotonin and anxiety level among students was held. The statistical analysis showed significant differences in the distribution of allelic variants TPH1, TPH2, HTR3A genes and revealed a four-factor model of the interaction of the TPH1, TPH2, HTR2A and HTR3A genes, which determine high and low indices of anxiety.

Keywords:anxiety, behavior, serotonin, serotonergic system, students.
