Disseminated purulent peritonitis: topical issues of transporting the severity of patients and the selection of surgical tactics

The most important ways to increase the effectiveness of treatment of patients with disseminated purulent peritonitis (DPP) are: the development of diagnostic and prognostic scales for assessing the severity of patients' condition and improving optimal tactical approaches. The use of modern scales makes it possible to detail the degree of damage to the abdominal organs and to predict the outcome of the disease in patients with DPP with a high degree of certainty. It is on an individualized prognosis that a differentiated tactical approach to the principles of using the surgical component of the complex treatment of abdominal sepsis should be built.
