Technology for producing virus-free potato planting material free of X and Y viruses

Potatoes are susceptible to various pathogens, which significantly reduce yield and degrade product quality. In the Republic of Bashkortostan, the greatest damage is caused by the viruses of KVK and YVK of potato. A comprehensive approach to studying the conditions for the elimination of the virus in various heat treatment variants of apical meristem donor plants of various sizes, as well as a quantitative assessment of the presence of the virus in biological material by PCR-RV and ELISA, is used. Recommendations on the preparation of virus-free potato planting stock have been developed.
