Control of the aircraft lateral movement on the limited maneuvering time

The problem of the trajectory control of the lateral movement of an aircraft is considered. Nonlinear model of control object with constant wind action is used. The aim of this work is the synthesis of optimal control with the "fuel" criterion under specified restrictions on the value of the control and process time. The control function is the angle of bank. It is proved that the optimal control is piecewise constant and has two stages maximum. The formulas for switching moments of the control’s stages and character points on phase plane are gotten under necessary optimality conditions. The paper presents the examples of numerical optimal control calculations on different types of initial conditions.
