Sepsis does not cease to be an extremely urgent medical and social problem. Among the main directions of searching for keys to solving the problem of sepsis, the problem of finding a standard for studying the general epidemiological patterns of generalized inflammatory syndrome in the world remains urgent. This article attempts to describe the potential range of existing epidemiological phenomena of sepsis, overcoming which can be the basis for correct statistical analysis and for the development of an agreed global strategy for a single definition, standardized accounting, and improvement of comprehensive epidemiological research in the world.
