On invasive pest of ulmus - Aproceros leucopoda

This work examined some features of the biology and ecology of the invasive species – Aproceros leucopoda Takeuchi, 1939 (Hymenoptera: Argidae) in the Samara region, as well as presented the results of population dynamics. This species is found both in recreational and landscaping plantations, and in forest belts. Local foci of an increased number of invaders are fixed along federal highways in plantations consisting of a monoculture of elm. It contributes to the increase in the number of pests hot and dry weather during the growing season.
