Investigation of the manifestations of atrial cardiopathy in patients with systemic embolism of undetermined source

A comprehensive study of the manifestations of pathological remodeling of the left atrium (LA) - atrial cardiopathy (AC) - was carried out in patients with sinus rhythm and systemic, highly probable cardiac embolism. It has been demonstrated that in patients with cryptogenic embolic stroke of undetermined source (n = 141), the echocardiographic indicator - left atrial ejection fraction (LAEF) is closely interrelated with the ECG characteristics of the «p» wave, which makes it possible to consider it as a significant diagnostic marker of AC in comparison with low information value concentration of NT-proBNP.
