Serum indicators of the cytokine system in patients with chronic hepatitis C

The article shows that the assessment of serum levels of TGF-β1 and TIMP-1 provides new information for characterizing the activity and stage of chronic hepatitis C. Dynamics of serum levels of TGF-β1 and TIMP-1 serves as an informative test for monitoring the effectiveness of treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis C with INF-a drugs. and ribavirin.
