Pathogenesis and methods of infertility treatment in endometriosis (literature review)

The review examines the causes of infertility in endometriosis. It is indicated that the treatment of infertility associated with endometriosis is a complex and controversial task, since the disease has a negative effect on fertility due to various mechanisms, the most important of which is a decrease in the ovarian reserve of the ovaries. It is noted that the observed changes can be associated both with the indirect effects of various pathogenetic mechanisms of endometriosis on the level of the ovarian reserve, and with the direct effect of surgical intervention on the ovarian tissue in this category of patients. Given the inconsistency of scientific data, the need for further research is noted.
