Carotid artery stenosis is one of the frequent manifestations of atherosclerosis and other occlusive vascular pathologies. It belongs to the class of cerebrovascular diseases. It is characterized by severe complications, such as encephalopathy or stroke. This article presents a clinical case of asymptomatic stenosis of the internal carotid artery. This group of patients is characterized by the fact that their stenosis is detected accidentally, the patient does not make any complaints. In most cases, patients with this pathology have critical stenosis of the carotid arteries, which require surgical intervention. The screening method of investigation for all patients with this pathology is duplex scanning of the carotid arteries, but it also has its limitations.
