Use of plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) in guided tissue regeneration after dental surgical intervention

This review focuses on the results and benefits of using PRGF therapy in various maxillofacial surgeries. The clinical context of the studies assessed in this review includes: ridge augmentation, extraction socket healing, sinus lift augmentation, and periodontal subosseous pockets. The data obtained allow us to conclude that PRGF improves the healing of oral tissues by reducing postoperative complications, improving the quality of life of patients and accelerating the healing of soft and hard tissues. Also, the technique under consideration is effective for the treatment of complications that may occur during the healing process.
