The article examines the possibilities of using fractal geometry methods in assessing the development of multicellular and unicellular plants. In this regard, the possibility of using fractal analysis methods in assessing the growth and development of multicellular herbaceous plants of oats and watercress grown on model soil, on slightly polluted soils of the Losiny Ostrov National Park and on technogenically polluted soils located near highways on the territory of Ryazan Avenue and Festival Street in Moscow has been studied. Also, the possibility of using fractal analysis methods in assessing the growth and development of unicellular microalgae of the Chlorella vulgaris BIN strain, under changing conditions of the artificial environment, has been studied. The experimental study was conducted for three years, in 2020-2022, the processing of the experimental data obtained was carried out in the ”Gwyddion" program.
Keywords:fractal geometry, oats, watercress, microalgae, plant development, growth dynamics, technogenic pollution.
