The article highlights the issues of modern principles and methods of surgical treatment of acute pancreatitis. Various classifications of acute pancreatitis are presented to describe the severity, nosological forms and complications of acute pancreatitis. Approaches and methods of surgical treatment of acute pancreatitis depend on the clinical picture, severity and phase of the disease. In the early phase of acute severe pancreatitis, minimally invasive surgical interventions are preferred, including videolaparoscopy with sanitation and drainage of the abdominal cavity, percutaneous puncturing and / or drainage of fluid accumulation under radiation navigation. In the surgical treatment of infected pancreatitis, in addition to open surgical interventions, combined interventions are also proposed, including both open and minimally invasive stages of surgical treatment.
