Acute gastrointestinal bleeding: diagnosis and surgical treatment

The article highlights the issues of diagnosis and surgical treatment of acute gastrointestinal bleeding. The social significance of this problem associated with the high prevalence of gastrointestinal bleeding among people of working age is revealed. The main goals of the treatment of acute gastrointestinal bleeding are to stop bleeding, to compensate for blood loss, to treat coagulopathy, and to prevent recurrence of bleeding. The main method of diagnosing the local cause of gastrointestinal bleeding is esophagogastroduodenoscopy. As a result of the implementation of diagnostic measures, the choice of differentiated tactics of surgical treatment is carried out.
