Ecological and biological assessment of the railway transport infrastructure in the Kaluga region

The choice of the research topic is due to the fact that the study of environmental problems is currently very relevant. The modern development of science, industry and technology makes special demands on the state of the environment. Special attention in the article is paid to identifying the features of the ecological and biological assessment of the activities of the railway infrastructure in the Kaluga region. Also in the article, special emphasis is placed on the current environmental situation within the territory of the Kaluga region. The constituent elements of the ecological and biological assessment, which is proposed to be considered in the indivisible connection of the three components "man - society - nature", are considered in detail. Based on the data obtained, the main directions for optimizing the environmental and biological assessment of the operation of the railway infrastructure in the Kaluga region were determined, which include the elimination of distortions in reporting on the environmental situation, the development of environmental incentives, the use of the best practices of the European Union, the creation of a system of specially protected natural areas.
