The emergence of a new coronavirus infection that arose in China in December 2019 led to an epidemic that spread rapidly and became one of the most serious threats to public health in recent times. Since identification in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, COVID-19 has already been registered on all continents, affecting 274839730 people in 222 countries, and resulting in 5369453 deaths as of December 19, 2021 [1]. COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. Pregnant women are a unique vulnerable group in any outbreak of infectious diseases, which is associated with an increase in infectious morbidity and high maternal mortality rates.
