The state of the maxillary system and periodontal tissues in patients with systemic osteoporosis

This article is devoted to the state of the dental system of a person with systemic osteoporosis. Numerous studies have been conducted in dentistry during which the relationship between systemic osteoporosis and periodontal tissue pathology has been established. Scientists have determined the role of metabolic, enzymatic and immunological disorders in the development of pathological processes in periodontal disease. The connection of periodontal diseases with the age of patients was also revealed. The influence of external factors on the condition of periodontal tissues was noted. And finally, the relationship with the hormonal systems of the body is noted. Generalized periodontitis is considered to be the main pathology of periodontal disease. The article discusses the features of the pathogenesis and course of this disease. There was a significant increase in this pathology in women over 45 years of age, which is associated with a violation of hormonal regulation in some patients. The purpose of the article is to consider the effect of systemic osteoporosis on the state of the dental system.
